Dear Steve Jobs: Snow Leopard Has Made My Life Miserable!!!

Dear Steve:

I had to have my 17" MacBook Pro replaced (it was running 10.5.8) and I was, and am, absolutely indignant that I had to deal with a "forced upgrade" to Snow Leopard, 10.6.2.

It's well known in the graphics industry that Adobe CS3 does not play well with Snow Leopard. If I had a dollar for every hour I've spent since FEBRUARY on a BRAND NEW MAC running archive and installs, clean installs, and all the time I've spent on the phone with your "techs", I'd be able to buy myself another 17" Mac Book Pro.

First off: the anti-glare model is NOT pictured in any of your promo material. So when I got my computer, and expected a black edge, I was supremely disappointed. And your techs had nothing to say except have someone at the retail take a picture of the glossy model v the anti-glare model. How odd to introduce the "new line" of MacBooks Pro, and you don't picture the difference between the glossy and the anti-glare.

Shame on you, Steve Jobs, for all my money spent on external hard drives (I think I have 35 by now) and all the time I've wasted on the phone with your techs, some of whom are great, and some of whom just plain old suck. I've lost work, five years of MobileMe mail (especially when I brought up the topic of having problems with my mail before it all "disappeared), and all the work and time I've lost to keep what is supposed to be one of your flagship models working.

And I will NEVER forget the interview with JB wherein he found it necessary to tell me he had a husband and, eventually, he got around to saying we should get together for dinner.

I was applying for a JOB, not a menage a trois.

And I'm really tired of having to defend myself when I go into your store. I am a customer like any other, except I've been with you since Mac OS 8.5, and have owned a considerable number of your products, not including what I bought as gifts for my brothers et al.

Shame on you.

Do I have to sacrifice a kidney in order to get help from your company?

Bad. Bad. Bad.

You are fucking with the wrong person.

9:30a - 2:00p on the phone with a Level 2 Technician?

Apple. Just wait. Poison pen letter on the way.

Remember, JB?
