Got Carnation?

Natal + Transit

Hitting Hartford Sunday.

Bringing new meaning to the phrase "T-Dance."

+ the mystery behind his death!

Word on the street has it Pavarotti died as a direct result of the most hideous form of gluttony known to man.

He ate the other two Tenors.

Quite literally, he choked to death.

Freddie Mercury
ltd ed prints available

A strictly limited, and numbered, series of prints are available of the image presented: Freddie Mercury 1977, New Haven. This photograph was taken by this photographer, front row, center, with a 110 Kodak Instamatic on color negative film. A scan of the entire four photographs comprising that specific negative strip will be attached. The photo for this text is a scan from the original 3.5" x 5" semi-matte Kodal print, which, dated, is 30 years old.

The original negative will be scanned at 1200 dpi to ensure the highest quality enlargement available. After the appropriate retouching and resizing in Photoshop, the resulting file will be ripped to a Canon iPF8000, and printed on canvas to be stretched and glossed on a artist's frame of lumber.

Ten (10) copies of this will be made available. All prints will be personally signed and numbered. This edition is the only printing of this size (no smaller than 20" x 30") and format. No other "wall-mount" editions will be printed. The photographer, however, reserves the right to make an open edition or limited edition of this image on rag paper.

Pricing based upon availability is as follows:
Print 01 – $250
Print 02...05 – $350
Print 06...08 – $500
Print 09 – $750
Print 10 – $1,000

While not currently printed, this limited edition, as described herein, will commence printing once the first print is purchased. The purchaser will have the opportunity to view the complete run of artist proofs.

Birthday Bulsara!

Not what you think.

Holy Ray Bradbury!

An open letter to Rick Rubin:

If you are genuinely on the lookout for talent,
try listening to, and watching, TEXAS and Sharleen Spiteri,
late of the Mercury label.

My own encounter with TEXAS began, uncharacteristically, via a blogger in Denmark.
Scottish by origin, the twenty-year plus vets of the music scene in the UK are literally absent from US play,
due to poor marketing efforts on behalf of their label.
I've been a die-hard fan ever since, purchasing both CDs and digital downloads to complete my catalog.

They'd be a wonderful breath of fresh air to a tepid musical landscape in this country,
especially live, with solid music and great charisma.

TEXAS, indeed.

Rick Rubin, are you listening? yet?

In case y'all're wondrin'...

CDs is the correct version.
The oft-misquoted "CD's" does not represent the plural, which is "compact discs" hence,
